Five Favs | March 2026
I seemed to have missed the blogger/content creator memo for March. I was struggling a lot with anxiety and paranoia over the whole ICE crap going on. I refused to leave the house or even set foot outside of my door. The current social injustice crap is damaging to American’s and it’s a whole damn shame that there are some American’s who lack the compassion to see why any of it is a problem. This is no longer a political stance, it’s starting to show how many people in your circle or family lack common compassion. I also dealt with a lot of those realizations over people I’ve known literally my whole life. It was crazy.
With that said — it was hard to aim for anything in March other than just surviving day to day in my own weird ass brain. It is leaking into April, and being my birthday week this week I’m trying SO HARD not to be disappointed in myself for not feeling well.

| Pokopia
Like everyone else in the cozy gaming community I’ve been sucked into the Pokopia hype. To be fair, my husband has bought me every Pokemon game that’s come out since we started dating in 2016 in hopes that one of them — any of them — stick. This is the first one that I just would not get off of. Though I do want to re-play Pokemon Violet and I do want to get Pokemon Legends: Z-A but I can’t justify $60 for a game I’m not entirely sure I’ll finish.
I do like that I don’t know every Pokemon’s name by heart so I give them nick names like Trubbish is trash bag and Spinerak is spidey despite that I know both of their names. It makes the game more whimsical, in my opinion lol.
| Disney Match 3D
Where Disney Solitaire didn’t live up to, Disney Match 3D did. I don’t get why this game doesn’t get a fraction of as many ads as the other one does because this game is actually fun. I’m on level 260 and it just gets more and more challenging. It’s a fun quick game to play on your phone when you’re winding down.

| Starbucks Iced Ube Coconut Cream Shaken Espresso
Look. Look. After that body wash I got I’ve been into all things Ube Coconut which is crazy and I know this is going to sound SO unFilipino of me but… I don’t like Ube. I grew up a Durian kid. Not an Ube one. In my opinion, Ube has a very light taste. Like if you mix it with almost anything, you’ll miss it. There are ways to enhance it which can make it really good, but there are very few Ube things I’ll eat. If any, honestly.
This however. Okay I can’t speak for the Ube part because it’s a hit and miss. But the fact they brought back Coconut syrup?? Oh yeah, I’ve been making my beloved Starbucks Coconut Mocha from 2002 they stopped returning in the Summer.
I do enjoy this drink though, but only in the grande size. I feel like anything bigger you completely lose the Ube notes. Plus, just look how pretty the layering is?! I really hope they keep this through the summer.
| Summer Friday’s Jet Lag Skin Soothing Hydration Mist
The eczema on my face is the bane of my mf entire living experience. It gets so annoying. So in the way and so itchy. I know I don’t help by fuckin with it all the time, but I can’t help it, esp when I’m stressing the fuck out. It’s a force of habit.
It does flare up when the weather changes to Spring and to Fall though on its own. It’s so hard to manage during that window because almost nothing will help and I just have to suffer through while trying not to scratch off patches of skin by accident (this has happened more times than I’d like to admit and it is PAINFUL).
Brought the Summer Friday’s Jet Lag Set for Travel with me on the staycation to Great Wolf Lodge and I used the hydration mist after putting on face cream after a shower. It felt so good. Did it work? I don’t know but it did such a good job soothing my eczema that I’m an automatic fan. Debating on buying another one for home since that one is in my travel bag.
| Great Wolf Lodge
I had a previous reservation for Halloween last year to stay here. The little one loves all things Halloween and figured she’d enjoy this (the in laws did end up throwing her her own Halloween party, yes with balloons and a cake and everything) but stuff came up preventing that from happening. Since I had to cancel the Sea World trip for the oldest’s bday I figured I’d use this reservation for it instead since she too was looking forward to the indoor water park
I’m so glad I did.
I had so much fun with the kiddos. This place is awesome and it really doesn’t get enough hype. I would love to stay here again or even just do a day pass for the arcade and the water park. I’m not a big pool/water park person — as someone who spent most of their life working in theme parks that were attached to water parks — I can’t swim so it was never really my thing. But seeing how excited and happy the girls were to be in the water was everything.
Even the baby had fun. Granted she was clinging on to Bub the whole time and wouldn’t let him go at all lol but she had so much fun. I’m glad she got to play, despite being so small. I had the older kiddo with me and she wanted to swim however she doesn’t know how either and even with a vest I was super iffy about her attempting to in the deeper area’s. But she did get to do the water slides and she loved those.
I’m a bit salty I didn’t get to do the lazy river since that’s one thing I’ve always wanted to do. I had one at a previous complex I lived in, actually the complex I lived in the year the oldest was born, but I never got to use it since it was always so crowded. So, boo, that sucks. Hoping to go back to GWL and do a bit of relaxing in the lazy river.
The front desk people at this resort are amazing. Nate helped me fix my reservation and omgosh I don’t remember her name — but she helped me all morning the second day I was there while I had to wait for another room to be ready.
This place is so fun and there’s so much more I can talk about but won’t here. The customer service is great. The food is good. The Pup Pass is absolutely worth it if you have more than 1 kid (I actually got one for myself too).

My favorite memory? Teaching her how to play Skee Ball. A game I played a lot as a kid who spent a lot of time in arcades. It’s actually one of my FAVORITE arcade games. The excitement on her face every time she hit a 2,000 or a 3,000 was the best thing ever. I was so proud of her! She was so excited about her high scores she spent the rest of the stay stealing literally every Skee Ball game I started.. sigh lol. I’m glad she enjoyed herself, that’s all that matters.
What are some things you loved in March? I’d love to know in the comments below!
